Reflexology is a complementary therapy, which works on the feet to assist in restoring balance to the whole person, not just the prevailing symptoms.
A reflexology session may induce relaxation, improve circulation, and enable homeostasis. This encourages the person's own healing systems to be activated to maintain wellbeing.
What happens during a treatment?
Clients either sit in a reclining chair or lie on a massage couch.
She/he will be asked to remove shoes and socks and the practitioner will begin to work on the feet using thumbs and fingers to apply gentle pressure. The amount of pressure is unique to each person.
